Chris started Funkin Pussy, the UK’s premiere P-funk club from 1991- 2000 with Jasper the Vinyl Junkie also Hooch at the old Spatts then called the Fish club which was frequented by the likes of Don Blackman, Melle Mel and George Dr Funkenstien himself!
Moving on to the Africa center in ’94 on a Saturday night till the beginning of the new decade. He was voted number one London club Dj in Dj magazine, and co -promoted the Nous Fonk mission solo shows for Bernie worrell and the Last Poets. He has promoted live events with concerts for artists including Bootsy and Parliament, Funkadelic, held numerous warehouse party’s, and went on to co- promote the UK B-Boy Championship.
Chris has put together 3 compilations of funk and hip hop – King of the Beats (3 volumes) bringing some of the pioneer’s of UK and US funk and hip hop, has written a funk column for Skate magazine and Big Cheese and broadcast on BBC Radio 1 and Kiss.
