Graham Crane

I was first attracted to soul music in 1974 after i heard Robbie Vincent on Radio London and Greg Edwards on Capital Radio, playing what can only be described as some of the best music around. Over the next few years i started to go to some of the clubs and pubs that they were playing in, The Golden Lion in Sydenham, Royalty Ballrooms in Southgate.Scamps in Sutton to name but a few, the list is endless. Over the years i got to know Robbie Vincent and would sit in on some of his shows on Kiss FM and Jazz FM..During the 1990s I started to present radio shows around the south coast on a few new stations that popped up, also getting into live gigs around the London area in pubs and different venues. I was always a fan of the early Solar Radio shows and a few years later in 2008 i was lucky enough to be invited to join Solar Radio, where i presented the 6am to 8am Saturday breakfast show, now known as Solar Sunrise. This was one of the first live shows at that time of the morning over the weekend, and built up a popular following. This continued to 2010, but due to heavy work commitments i had to leave the show. I now present guest shows or fill in slots as and when required and can be found doing some of the live gigs that Solar are involved with,.. The Solar boat parties are always great to be involved with and are very popular. In my shows i try to include new material along with a mixture of classic and rare tracks that haven’t been heard for ages and i always welcome interaction with the listener. Look forward to seeing you soon.
