Adventures In The Land Of Music

The 3 o’Clock Wiggle is sponsored by Soulmove

My love of music started at an early age when I shared a bedroom with my older brother and was bought up on a musical diet of Fleetwood Mac, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zepplin and Deep Purple, then my inner soul was woken when a friend lent me a copy of Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On” and the “Soul” bug was well and truly engraved into my heart.
I started my radio journey at Ealing Hospital Radio at the age of 15 and was highly frustrated that I could not broadcast until I was 16; the radio bug had bitten, and I knew that this is what I wanted to do.
In 1983 I presented “Drive Time” on LWR until 1986 when I was offered a job at Londons Radio Top Shop working along side many presenters like Steve Collins (Capital Radio), Gary King (Radio One) Paul McKenna (Radio Luxemburg and TV pesonality) Andi Peters (TV Personality) and Danny Pietroni (Magic FM) and I remained at Radio Top Shop until 1989 when I was offered the chance to forfill my ambition by joining Signal Radio (Stoke-On-Trent). I was a radio presenter and I had made it!
In 1996 decided to take a break away from Music and in 2010 was persuded by Les Adams to return to Soul Radio and joined Solar Radio in 2015, a decision I have never regreted.
I love (in no order) Classic Cars, good food my family life, great music, and foreign travel.
