Growing up in the late 70s, immersing myself in various music genres like Funk, Disco, Soul, Reggae, and Jazz shaped me into a vinyl enthusiast and eventually a DJ. This journey led to my first regular residency at Christies, a small wine bar in Sutton, South London, alongside Gilles Peterson.
Subsequent residencies included partnerships with Kev Beadle in Brighton & Croydon, as well as guest appearances for Baz Fa Jazz & Russ Dewberry at the Jazz Rooms in Brighton. Collaborating with Pete Tong at The Royal Oak in Tooley Street, London Bridge, and participating in the iconic South London underground parties with Carl Cox added memorable experiences to my DJ career. Over 25 years were spent spinning tunes on Mick Farrer’s Soul Cruisin’ boats on the River Thames.
My passion for music took me to Los Angeles, the City of Angels, on numerous buying trips where I delved deep into crates in search of high-quality gems. My initial foray into radio presenting began on Starpoint Radio in Southport. Since then, I’ve been invited as a guest on various radio shows, including Solar radio. While living in Vancouver, Canada, in 2011, I connected with David Love Jones, who invited me to guest DJ on his radio programme, African Rhythms.
Upon returning to London in 2015, I started presenting a monthly radio show on The Ground Radio, which gained popularity and evolved into a weekly show. In 2017, I brought my passion to Solar radio and was later invited in June of the same year to become a presenter for the station, where I continue to reside today.
My shows feature a mix of new and old music, and I strongly support independent artists, providing a platform for them to showcase their talent to a broader audience. I believe my music spans across various spectrums that nourish our souls. Welcome to my world, and enjoy The Soul Vibration Show.
